What's New

Web-based Silk Scheduler coming in 2008!

January 2008:  Silk Scheduler 5.0, currently in beta and to be released later in 2008, will be the first stand alone web based scheduling system available on the market.  The Silk Scheduler is already one of the most robust scheduling systems available and the new web version will utilize the latest technologies from Microsoft.  Operating on the Microsoft .Net 3.5 platform and utilizing ASP.NET AJAX tools, the Silk Scheduler will offer an enhanced web-based scheduling experience with superior interaction with the latest Windows platforms.  The Silk Scheduler will be easier to deploy and maintain as well as give administrators the most advanced web based experience available.  Finally, a scheduling solution that both Assistant Principals and IT staff will love!

Silk web interface based on Microsoft .Net technologies

Our new web interface is based on the latest Microsoft .Net technologies.  Silk is a cross platform solution that will allow administrators and teachers with appropriate access to view student information from any computer via a web browser.  Silk will also give teachers more flexibility in the entering of grades, attendance and discipline data.

Silk District Level Student Management Made Easier

The Keystone integrated district system has now made it easier to manage student data across the district.  Never has been easier to transfer, co-register and promote students across schools within the district.  In addition, students (and teachers) attending multiple schools within the district can easily be tracked, scheduled and reported on for grades and attendance information.

Auto Setup Feature Makes Silk Software Management Even Easier!

An auto setup feature has been added to Silk that automatically runs whenever a user logs onto a Keystone module to see is an update to the program is available.  If an update is available, it notifies the user and automatically installs the update without requiring any inputs from the user.

Silk Integration with Excelsior Pinnacle Gradebook System

Silk is now fully integrated with one of the top gradebooks on the market, Excelsior Software’s Pinnacle Gradebook System.  The Pinnacle system is a collection of software products designed to manage and collect and distribute information to and from classroom teachers via an electronic gradebook and then formulate and distribute that information as needed to administration, principals, students, parents, etc.  It is one of the most complete gradebook products on the market and the Silk seamless interface provides an unparalleled integration between the two best-of-class products.
